This policy explains what personal data AI Gurucool (aigurucool.com) collects, why, where it is kept and the choices you have. AI Gurucool is your AI Mentor & Coach: an AI that guides your job change, working alongside human Mentors who review your work. We tell you clearly whenever something comes from the AI and whenever it comes from a person.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

Account details: your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
Career materials you give us: resume files (PDF or Word) and the text we extract from them, target roles, keywords, job descriptions and job-board links, and the career niche you define.
Review records: the results of AI reviews of your niche, notes and decisions from human Mentors, and the history of changes to your niche.
Security and technical data: sign-in records, IP address, browser and device details, and logs needed to keep the service secure and working.

If you book a niche clarity call through a scheduling link, the scheduling provider collects the details you enter under its own privacy policy.

3. How we use it

To create and run your account and keep you signed in securely.
To provide the service: understanding your resume, helping you define a career niche, and getting it reviewed.
AI review: the AI Mentor & Coach reads the materials needed for a task and makes suggestions. The AI suggests; decisions such as approving your niche are made by fixed rules in our software and by human Mentors, never by the AI alone.
Mentor review: when your niche goes to human review, an assigned Mentor sees your niche, the materials you submitted with it, and the AI review.
To send emails about your account and the service (not marketing, unless you opt in).
To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We only work with AI providers whose terms do not allow them to train their models on our users' data.

4. Consent

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you sign up, and for the legitimate uses the DPDP Act allows (for example, meeting legal obligations). You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account or contacting us. Withdrawing consent stops further processing but doesn't affect processing that already happened.

5. Where your data is kept

Your account, career materials and resume files are stored in India (Mumbai), and the application code that handles them runs in Mumbai. Some service providers below process limited data outside India to do their job. We send each provider only what it needs.

Nothing leaves AI Gurucool on your behalf (for example, a message or a post) without your approval.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data from our systems. Copies in backups are removed as those backups expire. We keep security and audit records for at least one year, and longer where the law requires.

8. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
ask us to correct, complete or update it;
ask us to erase it;
nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated;
raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to people who need it, staff accounts require two-factor authentication, and staff actions are recorded in an audit log. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.

10. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect your account. We do not use advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

11. Children

AI Gurucool is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Google user data

If you sign in with Google, we use your name, email address and profile picture only to create and identify your account. If you are a Mentor and choose to connect Google Calendar (when that feature is available), we use calendar access only to check your availability and add session events you agree to. We do not use Google user data for advertising, sell it, or let people read it except where needed to run the service, for security, or to comply with the law.

AI Gurucool's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

13. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
